Why I Became a Therapist:
From a young age, I was fascinated by the human mind and the complexities of emotions and behavior. I first felt the calling to become a therapist when I was younger. However, life had other plans for me, and my journey towards becoming a therapist was put on hold.
In my adulthood, I chose to work in law enforcement and serve my country and joined the military. My years in service were filled with experiences that profoundly shaped my understanding of resilience, trauma, and the human spirit. As a veteran, I witnessed firsthand the unique challenges faced by my fellow service members and the impact of these experiences on their mental health.
After leaving the military, I found myself drawn to various roles that involved helping and supporting others, but the dream of becoming a therapist never left me. It wasn’t until later in life, that I finally had the opportunity to pursue this passion fully. Returning to school to earn my Master’s Degree in Psychology was both challenging and rewarding, reaffirming my belief in the power of therapy to change lives.
Throughout my journey, I have encountered a diverse range of individuals and communities, each with their own stories and struggles. This has only strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate and personalized care to my clients. My eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from various theories and techniques, is a reflection of my belief that every person is unique and deserves a tailored approach to their mental health care.

I have a particular interest in working with veterans, trauma survivors, and individuals from the BDSM community. My experience and understanding in these areas allow me to provide specialized support tailored to the unique needs and challenges faced by these populations. Whether you are a veteran seeking assistance in navigating the mental health implications of military service, a trauma survivor in need of healing and recovery, or an individual within the BDSM lifestyle seeking guidance on relationship dynamics and personal growth, I am here to offer compassionate guidance and effective therapeutic strategies.
